25 years of the National Printing Heritage Trust

More than 60 issues of the Mono­type recorder jour­nal have been added to the Met­al Type web­site in PDF for­mat. It was the trade mag­a­zine pub­lished by the Mono­type Cor­po­ra­tion, and was pub­lished for about 70 years from 1902. There is also a dis­cus­sion about the jour­nal on the Met­al Type Forum.

Monotype event

The work­ing machin­ery of Mono­type­’s hot-met­al ser­vice is housed and oper­at­ed from the Type Archive in Lon­don. The Print­ing His­tor­i­cal Soci­ety is spon­sor­ing an event.
