Putting Scotland on the Map is the National Library of Scotland’s exhibition about the world of John Bartholomew and Son, the famous Edinburgh map printing firm. As well as maps and atlases, the exhibition includes items from the Bartholomew Archive held in the Library, which documents 200 years of the firm’s history.
On 31 January 2013 there will be a talk linked to the exhibition entitled ‘Bartholomew: A Scottish family heritage’ (details about how to book are available on the National Library’s events page) and the exhibition runs at the Library’s George IV Bridge building in Edinburgh from 7 December 2012 until May 2013.
