The Ericht Trust appealed for funding to make a film about the Printers, which is now complete. A DVD of the History of Blairgowrie Printers is now available to buy at £12 from One Voice Office Upper Mill St Blairgowrie or contact jmashaw@btinternet.com directly. There is also a short clip about the printing works on YouTube.
The printing works in Blairgowrie was established in 1855 and was moved to a purpose built site in Reform Street in 1880. The owner, Hamilton Scott, worked there as an apprentice before taking over in 1980 until he retired in 2007. The printing works and the machinery were listed as Category B in 2003.
For more details of the project, see the Ericht Trust website.
