Historic Scotland has a bursary award available, for individuals who want to develop their skills and understanding in the field of traditional print work, through study at Robert Smail’s Printing Works in Innerleithen, owned by the National Trust for Scotland. Previous experience is not required, but you should have good hand skills and demonstrate an enthusiasm for conservation and a high level of craft potential. The award, of £14,500pa, is of 12 months’ duration.
