Exhibition on printing in Glasgow

A major exhibition is opening at the Hunterian Art Gallery of the University of Glasgow on Friday 27 February 215. Ingenious impressions: the coming of the book charts the development of the earlt printed book in Europe and explores the transition from manuscript to print and its impact on late medieval society. The University of Glasgow holds one of the UK’s most important collections of books printed in the 15th century.

On Friday 27 February 2015 there will be free printing workshops in the art gallery: book through this link.

The exhibition runs from 27 February to 21 June 2015. Full details of the exhibition and its associated events programme are on the Hunterian Gallery’s website.
