Printing Historical Society 50th Anniversary Conference

The Print­ing His­tor­i­cal Soci­ety is busy plan­ning a con­fer­ence to mark the 50th Anniver­sary of its foun­da­tion in 1964, to be held on 13 and 14 Novem­ber 2014. It is expect­ed that the event will be held at the Society’s long-stand­ing home in Lon­don, the St Bride Insti­tute.

The con­fer­ence is enti­tled Land­marks in Print­ing: from ori­gins to the dig­i­tal age, and papers are invit­ed that cov­er all aspects of the print­ing arts and indus­try, includ­ing the cul­tur­al, prac­ti­cal and tech­ni­cal achieve­ments of the craft. It is antic­i­pat­ed that papers will con­sid­er not only the his­to­ry of the sub­ject, but also its the­o­ry and prac­tices. Appli­cants should sub­mit a 300-word pro­pos­al in Word for­mat, togeth­er with a short cur­ricu­lum vitae.
