The archives at the National Trust for Scotland’s printing works in Innerleithen, Robert Smail’s, give a unique insight into the operation of a small business in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Smail’s are in the process of cataloguing and conserving this archive, and have begun put some of this archive online.
